Oasis For Girls is a lean organization with an excellent track record in fiscal responsibility. But the downturn has finally hit our small agency and impacted the availability of key funding. Our challenge this spring is one of timing: we must raise $20,000 before September 1 to bridge a gap and meet our annual budget goal of $327,000.
We need your help. The timing is critical.
A small group of "Angel" supporters who invest at a significant level now will keep our doors open.
Oasis For Girls is one of only a few remaining girl-serving organizations in San Francisco.
Our programs in life skills, arts, leadership, and technology training do more than strengthen girls' critical thinking skills and positive behavioral choices - they are key in helping prevent risk behaviors for girls "on the cusp," including drug and alcohol use, unprotected sex, dropping out of school, and entrance into the juvenile justice system. Our staffing, center, and programs have a proven track record of success.
